Arquetectura of the world

- Infosys Building. Hinjewadi, Pune province. India

 

The headquarters of Infosys in India, is a beautiful high tech. The entire structure seems an aircraft and this illusion is created by its shape: ellipsoid structure with inclined at approximately 10 degree angle.
The building was the first occupant of the IT park called Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park. In this park, there are about 20 software companies like Mindtree, Tata Technologies, Tech Machindra and CISCO.
The Infosys building is definitely the best. It was built based on the designs of architect Hafeez Contractor an important and respected Indian architect known for his commitment to design "green". The building is a combination of steel, glass and aluminum.







- Milwaukee Art Museum. Lake Michigan, Milwaukee. Wisconsin

The Milwaukee Art Museum is a spectacular building that is divided into three parts: the Center for the memory of the war, the Quadracci Pavilion Gardens and Cudahy. It has more than 30,000 square meters. Emulates the boats that travel through the lake and the building has in its design: mast, bow and a kind of candles.
It was designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava, David Kahler, and Eero Saarinen. The Quadracci Pavilion is the most impressive visually, built under the postmodern style according to the plans of Calatrava. The Windhover Hall is the most attractive structure, and has a glass roof 90 feet high. The new wing of the museum designed by Calatrava is a huge set of carbon fiber bows that adjust to modulate the incoming light and heat of the museum. The MAM is located on the water bridge, into the great lake of Michigan.


        - The Crooked House, Sopot, Poland



His real name is "Centrum Rezydent." Is located in the city of Sopot, Monte Cassino Street.
Inside, you can find some shops, bars and restaurants. It was built in 2003 and is one of the most watched in the commercial area of Sopot.
It looks like a building from a story where the house would be a place among the buildings that surround it.




- Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. Hilversum, Netherlands

The overall effect of the building, is fascinating and colorful translucent glass panels, very cheerful, luxurious and opulent. The building was designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architects, and has 5 underground levels and as many on the ground. The underground levels contain files and materials while the upper is where the media museum open to visitors.

The glass panels on the facade is very characteristic of a collage of famous paintings and photos of Dutch films and television series.
 

- Basket Building. Ohio, USA

This building is the headquarters of the Longaberger baskets company. It is located at number 1500 of East Main Street in Newark, Ohio, and was built in 1997.



The group's founder, Dave Longaberger, is the creator of this unique building of seven floors of offices, which make it very clear what is your business.

The cost was $ 30 million and two years of work. To make matters worse is surrounded by trees and next to a lake, like a picnic.


- Denver Art Museum. Denver, USA.

The building was begun in early 1948, when the designer Burnham Hoyt designed what became known as the Schleier Gallery. Through the years, must made numerous upgrades since the museum needs more space to store his treasures. Two of the most famous annexations were Frederick C. Building Hamilton and the North Building.

The Frederic C. Hamilton was design by architect Daniel Liebeskind, and the design resembles the beautiful peaks of the Rocky mountains and all kinds of geometric formations typical of the geology of Denver. The entire building was covered with huge titanium panels according to the architect: "reflect the Colorado sunshine."










                         
    - Dancing Building in Prague

The Dancing Building or dancer building is one of the top attractions that you can meet in Prague and one of the strangest buildings in the world, either by its peculiar shape or even, for some, their nice little design.


This work was designed by architect Frank O. Gehry, Guggenheim Bilbao´s author, who became the space that housed an old building eclectic Renaissance-style building in a dancer.

It was built with concrete panels oriented at different angles covered with a skin of glass suspended at one end, reminding the dress of a dancer, dancer accompanying a robust cylindrical beside him. Hence the name.

It has created much controversy by his appearance, but was up image of a gold coin, driven by the Bank of the Czech Republic in 2005.

Unfortunately the building is not open to the inside, as it houses offices inside, but you can go to the restaurant located on the seventh floor, or just contemplate.


           - Federation Square. Melbourne, Australia

The Federation Square is the second largest tourist attraction in the city after the Crown Casino. The process of construction of the square was much controversy even though today is one of the world's most admired structures.

The building is constructed as deconstructivism, offering a sense of fragmentation and a minimalist aesthetic. The facades are covered with glass and slabs of sandstone, zinc and metal frames which conformed with interesting geometric patterns. The project designers were the members of Lab Architecture Studio with teacher Donald Bates and Peter Davidson to head with local firm Bates Smart.


                       - La Tete au Carre. Nice. France


La Tete au Carre is a very visual building, which is the central library located in the heart of Nice, France. Inhabited sculpture is the first in the world, and is built entirely of aluminum. The famous sculptor and painter Sacha Sosno along with architects Yves Bayard and Francis Chapuis were the creators. The literal translation of Tete au Carre's "Thinking inside the box". Inside the head there are 3 floors of the library full of digital and paper documents and books. The building is 26 meters high and is one of the most interesting buildings, sculpture and modern in the world.


           - Biosphere Montreal. Montreal, Canada

Montreal Biosphere is a museum dedicated entirely to the environment. The designer of this particular structure was the architect Richard Buckminster Fuller. The structure is 61 meters high and the diameter of the sphere is 78 meters. The main frame is made of steel tubes and use about 1900 acrylic panels for facades. Today the area serves as a location for many interactive exhibits for children and many other cultural and entertainment programs for all ages.


            - Peter B Lewis Building. Cleveland. U.S

This building was designed by famed architect Frank Gehry and is now the headquarters of the Weatherhead School of Management. The building has curvilinear lines and although it looks strange artwork is very important in the city of Cleveland.

The structure was named after the Chairman of Progressive Insurance, an insurance company donated $ 37 million to build. The total cost was 62 million and is nearly 152,000 meters square.
The style and structure is clearly reminiscent of the Guggenheim Museum in Spain which was also built by master architect Frank Gehry pop.


            - Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Elshtaby. Egypt.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is one of the most famous cultural centers in the world, located in the city of Elshtaby in Egypt. The building style reflects a contemporary Egyptian, simulating shimmering under the sun disk. The library can hold 8 million books, the main reading room is huge (70,000 m2) and has 11 levels cascaded harmoniously. In exterior walls can be seen calligraphic inscriptions on the granite wall and ceiling of the reading room is 32 meters high.
 
Architects and planners were professionals Hamza Associates and Snohetta study. The library and cultural center received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2004. Occupies the same place as the ancient library of Alexandria.
 

      - Dome House. Pensacola Beach. Florida. U.S.

This structure is a dome (or cupola) geodesic besides being extremely comfortable, very strong and resistant to all weather conditions. From inside the guests have an ocean view, because as a spherical structure can have a panoramic view very original. The architect who built it is Bob Bissett.






                               - Parc Guell. Barcelona. Spain

                          - Honeycomb. Jerusalem. Israel.

This residential building has broken all the rules of traditional architecture. It was built in 1970 based on plans by architect Zvi Hecker for the National Housing Ministry because they wanted a design that would break with the architectural patterns of the city.
